[Misc] IRADV 6055 second tray not sensing the paper

Dear All,
One of our Canon IRADV6055 machine is not sensing/lifting the second tray.

Already try to interchange 2nd pickup unit & second tray,but still it is same.Please help me to go to the next step for troubleshooting the issue.

If it is not lifting up look at the back where the cassette hits the sensors. Sometimes paper gets back there and knocks things off. If it is lifting but not sensing paper take out the second feed and look for a missing or broken flag. The second tray is usually the left deck.

I have this problem on a iR-ADV 6265.

Changed the pickup unit since the flag was found in the machine by the customer at some point after a jam removal. This machine was amazing for 250k until the customer had it moved down a flight of stairs. Since then, they have done 300-400k more and it has been a pain. Lots of weird stuff happening to it.

I changed the paper pickup assembly and the flags at the back. Must be a PCB or something. It will lift, but always show red on the consumables screen where the paper indicators are.

1. Before anything. When you close the deck, can you hear the deck lifting at all? Is the motor spinning? If it isnt. Check the motor in prt-check in svc. Find the motor in question which is the Deck lift motor. This can be found by hitting the green "I" button and then selecting motor. it will give you the list of motors, and their prospective numbers.

If the motor turns on. Then move onto the Deck itself. See below #2... If it doesn't, try switching the motors from decks 1&2, and then repeat the test.(WARNING, right deck p/u motor is on the Main drive) If the motor turns on, then you know that the motor is bad. Replace it. FK2-7674-000


2. There is a Tab on the Back of the Deck which should toggle the pickup assembly when the deck is pushed in. It is a white tab. Check and make sure that it isn't missing. If it is. you can either get one from another machine, or you will have to call canon, and get the part#. As this is a non service part.

Also check that the lift Wires on the deck aren't broken. If they are, you will have to replace the wires, or the entire stock.

This is going off of the basis that you already replaced the pick up.

Well the machine is done for then. 3300 machine frames could bend on elevator thresholds so I was told by Canon. This happens over many many times of moving but a trip down stairs could have bent the frame. You were not there so they need to turn it into an insurance claim.
