[Misc] Canon ImageRunner C1030if Print Queue Issues ("Waiting on print job")

    Hello Folks,

New here excuse me if I break protocol. I am having issues with a Canon IR C1030if, print jobs seem to start to hang randomly where the status in the queue is listed as "waiting on print job". Usually a reboot of the printer allows for 1 or 2 print jobs to go through before issue starts up again. Jobs stall both on network print jobs and those sent through via cable, web UI shows printer status as "warming up". Not sure how to generate an error code if possible, I was able to go to the service mode menu and run the DRAM test 1 and 2 which both came back okay. I am okay with trying a factory data reset but not sure where the options are in the menu. I have never touched the firmware on the unit and not sure if an update would help with that. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

    Controller Version:
    WLaa-07-03

    Thank you in advance.

Re: Canon ImageRunner C1030if Print Queue Issues ("Waiting on print job&quot

The message 'waiting to print' is displayed on the control panel, whenever a print or copy job is run.

    Solution :

In a few cases, removing and reseating the fixing assembly resolved the waiting message when printing and coping.
Replacing the fixing assembly may also resolve this message. The part number for the fixing assembly is RM1-4348-040.

Reseating the DIMM assembly corrected those issues in some cases.

May need to reload firmware, if above fails.
