How to profile an ImageRunner Advance

I have a minor issue with an ImageRunner Advance C7055, where it prints dark grey with a light magenta cast and light grey with a light green cast. I would like to fix this by creating a profile with my X-Rite i1. I do not have a Fiery server on this machine. I am printing from Mac.

Color options show up in two different spots in the driver settings.
    1. Under "Color Matching," I can pick between any ICC profile installed on the computer and "Canon Color Matching."
    2. under "Quality," there's a "Color Settings ..." button, which brings up another panel with a bunch of different settings.

When I select "Canon Color Matching" from the "Color Matching" pane, I have more options on the "Color Settings" panel.
    I can choose:
    • Printer Default,
    • Driver Matching Mode,
    • Embedded Profile Priority Mode,
    • Gamma Adjustment,

each of which has various settings of its own to choose from.

Before printing a profile patch, it is important to turn off all profiling/color matching first. This is to eliminated the issue of double profiling or getting a vastly reduced color gamut. This leads to my question; How do I turn off color matching?
    or
How do I set up the printer to print profile patches?

I use ColorMunki Solutions. Simply. Amazing. with great success , however its sound like to you are trying to compensate the print engine and balance the differentials via the driver?
