    Jam code 020C 02 on a Canon c5045

My Canon C5045 Advance is jamming only when using the duplex. It pulls about 3 letter sized pieces of paper and then it hesitates and then jams. I pulled up the jam log and it is calling 020C 02 as the error. Please advise how I can fix this.

    Thanks!

An 020C jam is defined as a Stationary Jam at PS40.

Duplex registration drive assembly may be the issue.
    Part number FM3-6001-000.

Check the Delivery Guide for Damage / Warp.
Replace the Third Paper Delivery Assembly (FM3-5963-010) if Damaged.

I have fixed three of them by replacing the sensors with new style sensors. One of them is hard to get to. You have to remove the assembly to put the sensors in.

I've seen this one a few times. Remove the 2nd/3rd Delivery unit, and on top you'll see an actuator flag for PS40 that's most likely gotten knocked out of it's support. Remount it, and reattach the delivery unit, and you'll be fine.

        Good luck.
