    IPF8100 Error 260e

    Hello

I wonder if anyone could offer additional advice.

I have been looking at an IPF8100 wide format printer that is giving a 260e error, which appears to be related to paper position.

The manual states "Gap detection error" and the fix "Check the carriage unit and surrounding parts. Replace the main controller PCB."

I checked the carriage unit, blew out a little dust in the side of the unit, reloaded paper and first time on it worked... Every time after the error above reoccurred.

Can anyone suggest anything else before I order a main board?

    Thanks

①Check to see if the multisensor reference plate (white patch for batch correction) is not soiled and perform GAP CALIB (if soiled, adjust the part after replacing it).
②Replace the multisensor and perform GAP CALIB.
③Replace the carriage unit and perform GAP CALIB.

    than Replace the Mainboard

      Hello

      Thanks for the advice..

I have a replacement multi sensor, but it looks like a hugely involved job to replace it, even with the manual.

Is there an easier way of replacing the sensor? The manual shows having to pull out the whole carriage assembley but does not specifically show how to remove the sensor.

      Thanks
