I have a machine (iR1023iF) that works fine printing and copying however when i scan to folder the machine goes into a system error 246. After that i cannot copy or print until the error is cleared. I know that this error on other machines has to do with the counter PCB. But the error only occurs when scanning. Any ideas??

i cant find that error code anywhere are you sure it isnt a ## error

Yeah i couldn't find it anywhere either but the machine says "SYSTEM ERROR E246"
After i had posted this message yesterday the machine started working fine i scanned about 10 pages to my PC through the ADF and from the copy glass but this morning i went to scan another document from the glass and the error came back. The only way i have found to get the error to clear is to unplug the machine for about 5 minutes. Doing a clear from SM does not clear the error.
