Canon IR8105 print speed slows down then E000001-0002

    Hello Sirs,

When photocopying 1000pcs LTR size 70 grams paper single side on cassette 1 the copier will slow down a few times, around 200 plus copies then regain speed. After photocopied FLSC paper (8.5x13) 70gsm paper on cassette 3 printed around 200 copies, copier slows down then Error came up E000001-0002.

Cleared the error but photocopied A3 size 70 grams paper on cassette 4 set to 200 copies then paper jammed. While removing the jammed paper found a drum finger picker broke and made a hole on tranfers belt with a 3 inch vertical cut .

    my questiona

What causing the slow down ?
What cause the error E000001-0002? Bad thermistor maybe?
How can I prevent the drum picker finger to break and damage the transfer belt?

    Thanks for Helping

    SLOW-----------Copying / Printing
Monitor the Copier>Display>Analog in service mode. View the temperature of the thermistors.
While monitoring the copy run try to notice if the temperature of the center thermistor is dropping as low to 175 degrees.
See if printing pauses and the temperature rises and the copying is resumed.

Normal Fixing Temp ( FIX-U) should be reading about 199 degrees

    check
Settings/Registrations > Management Settings > Device Management > Limited Functions Mode > set to off

E001 -0002__Fixing Assembly high temperature error (software detection)

    1. Check if the cable of the Thermistor is caught.
-> Replace the Thermistors. -> Replace the Fixing Upper Unit.

    2. IH control error. -> Replace the Fixing Power Supply PCB
(PCB10), the DC Controller PCB (PCB1), or the Main
    Driver PCB (PCB2).

    Description
    • The Fixing Main Thermistor (THM1) detects 230 degC or higher.
    • The Fixing Sub Thermistor 1 (THM2)/Fixing Sub Thermistor 2 (THM4) detects 230 degC or higher for 2 consecutive
    seconds.

chart below shows the voltage of the fuses, connectors / pin location, loads and error / alarm codes.

Following is a list of error codes this chart associates a fuse with:
    E824, E005, E121, E023, E804, E820, E401, E025, E020, E008, E002, E001, E000

Following is a list of alarm codes this chart associates a fuse with:
    33-0026, 33-0027, 04-0073

I have a similar case , I found that the iRA8105 easily overheats the fuser roller when copying 200 sheets Legal/FLSC paper.
This is because there is no Shutter plate to protect the edges of the fuser roller from heating like the iRA6075.
We hope canon can make a solution for this, maybe adding a fan for cooling the edges when using 11" width paper ?

          Hello sir, fix my problem

First did change the Upper Fuser Roller with generic brand replacement - same problem

Then change to a original Canon upper fuser roller - it working fine again

          Thanks for all that help
