    Adv4035 feeder

Has anyone else had an issue with the feeder on the Adv4035 taking in more than 1 sheet at a time? Just replace the p/u, feed and sep pad but the copier still will take in too many sheets, it doesn't jam just passes 2 or 3 together and keeps going so the customer has to actually count the sheets to make sure it did the entire job......any ideas?

Common issue with this series. There's an updated Sep pad material that a lot of techs have had good luck with. Part # FC5-4368-000

Try the FM1-A719-000 sep pad. Comes with spring and surface is different. I just put one in yesterday. Had just rebuilt rollers and pad and only had 8% on pad. Feeds fine waiting to see if that took care of pulling in several sheets. Customer told me they made copies of originals to see if it was a paper problem and it still did it.

There is another one as well that comes with a spring and it has a small weight installed underneath the pad. Can't remember the part # for this..

I have had success with FL3-7878 though - it's a grittier surface and the grip-tape is a little thicker. Seems to work well.
