should clarify that it's a booklet job, and it's all in color. The customer wants it printed in color for the 1st page and the rest black and white.
Thanks

you could print all the top page you need in color and use the stack bypass tray to insert cover in the driver, and select mono print for the rest of the booklet
The customer is an end user, not a graphic designer. The job was sent to them. Modifying the job is out of the question. ..
They just want to print the job as is in color for top page and black the test, booklet.

It won't happen without some effort by the customer as mentioned in the above posts.

Some (read: very few) print drivers will allow you to create page ranges within a job, and apply different settings (such as BW or color) to each range.
This is normally found on much higher end machines.
If there is a Fiery involved, you may be able to send a job to the hold queue, then create the page ranges in Command Workstation (although it may require an option).
There may be third party software out there that would do this, but good luck on wading through the swamp of stuff that's out there. Yuck.
Sorry, no easy way to do this, let alone cheaply.
