2nd hand imagerunner C2020

good evening everybody,

first post, and first time really trying anything with my hardware.
I run a small office, and have managed to purchase a image runner c2020 2nd hand at auction..

it makes some very unusual noises at startup, and am having a lot of trouble setting up.
Worst case scenario, i would like to use the scanning functions (it no print then thats ok)

i have run through many forums, and youtube videos on a hard reset which i have performed, however i can't seem to find any lan settings etc.

if i click on the 'settings/registration' button, i get an error;

you can use other functions from the main menu key

Turning the power switch off and on... etc etc.

from what i read that is a drum issue (maybe?)
if i only want to use this as a scanner is it still possible?

Hi

Yes,problem is probably on cyan drum.When copier throw error code other functions are disabled.Need to remove error first.

Try removing the Cyan drum and have a look at the coupling at the inner side. If not damaged, just put it back and retry. Could be just from moving the printer. I'v seen the 2020 gving this kind of problem if the drum is not set corectly..

If damaged, you'll probably have to replace it.

To ind LAN settings you'll have to login first, if nobody changed this it's ID + pasword is both 7654321 by default.
