    ir c2220 background blue

    Hi,
    I have an intermittent problem with a canon irc 2220 in color mode,sometimes the back ground in the color prints is all cyan,I replaced ITB, CYAN DRUM, LASER UNIT and laser unit flat cables...

    it works right in black and white mode

    does anyone know the problem?

      When I get a cyan background it is always the drum unit. Have not had issues other than that. I have/had a lot of these models.

              Any way to check and/or adjust HVT settings to minimize this issue ? I'm haveing the same on a IRC adv. 2020.
              It's a 'old' returned one we ourselve now use for printouts on our tech. dep. so i doubt I can get them to order a HV PCB for this one...


              @Ernsto: you have the same problem; First page is ok, next one has to much cyan or background has cyan... Next printjob is fine, next page is bad ? It seems a pause between pages makes the problem less, or disapear...

                      Since our 2020 is practicaly Fubar already, i've been fiddeling and experimenting.

                      i've set Adjust - HV-Pri - LSUB-CDC from 0 to 5....
                      background cyan is now gone... Did have to do a color correction and full gradation adjustment afterwards...

                          Hi, have you made sure you have the latest updates on the machine? Sounds like a software problem rather than a "image formation" problem, well if the machine prints ok the other time.
