    IR-3225 Fax problem

Hi, I have a 3225 that is having problems sending to 1 866 prefix telephone # that are E faxs. It faxes ok to any other numbers but the 866 prefix it generates errors and the report shows NG.
The phone line has been tested by verizon and it does the same thing on another line. Other fax machines can fax to the same number with no issues.
I have no idea what to do except to change the fax board? but somehow i dont think that will solve the problem. I tried turning ECM off but does the same.
Does anyone have any suggestions that I can try?
    Thanks

can you go into the log and find the send error code will start with a hash?

Are you sure that the machines that send OK aren't dialing some kind of access code, or possibly entering extra pauses?

Those can both be easily coded into a speed dial.

If the logs are showing a #018 code (from what I remember), that means it never saw a fax answer.

Error codes that start with only one # are user error codes, where ## codes mean that something actually failed.

There are no error codes in the log. It seems that under 4 pages goes ok anything 4 or over does not go if there are 10 pages it dials ok and starts the process after it reaches the 10th page and it should finish it says start again. When it prints out the report it shows ng 2,4,6 for the pages I think? I swapped the fax board did all clear on the fax in service mode and still get the same thing. They are using Verizon fios and Verizon insists the problem is the machine. I tried sending 10 pages to the same 866 number from my office with the same fax board and it works. I am going to bring a fax 710 and try that to see if it is the line.
