    [Jamming] C5240A with E1 finisher won't release paper

    I've got a C5240A with an E1 inner finisher that the grippers won't let go of the paper. It begins to stack the paper on the exit tray, but doesn't let go and pulls it back in. I had a different model with a similar problem and replacing the PCB in the finisher fixed it, but not this time. I've also upgraded the system software. I've ordered a gripper unit, but kinda unconvinced it's going to fix the problem because if you roll the gears on the gripper, I don't see how it could let go of the paper when it's all the way forward (left looking straight on).

      There was an issue with ejection on c5000 Advanced A1 Internal Finisher,
      Gripper Unit Move Motor, stalling on large sets.
      **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

              The round black plastic pin that causes the gripper to release when it retracts wears down.. I've seen it many times .The pin starts off round but gets worn down. Gripper retracts but holds on a little bit..sheets will skew,etc. Replace the gripper assembly

                  I had one on a different model and replacing the gripper assembly fixed it.

                          Unfortunately, the gripper unit did not fix my problem.
