Hello everyone,
just registered here and this is my first post thx to fact that I just got IRC 2620n before a week and I love it. Machine was quite used before, it was laying in some closed moist office few a years so now I got it and I want it to get it back to life. I am not a service tehnican, just doing this for fun and full couriosity refurbishment of my LBP5000 gave me a lot of inputs how this machines work so I am giving myself this second shot also lol.
Canon IRC 2620n - ITB slipping due to a belt cleaning blade supression. How to make it roll nicely?
After having a nightmare with selection of several (used) drums and toners that guy gave me with this baby (and 751 errors), I finally got 2620n printing nice & clear, but colors were (and still are seriously) displaced. After non-stop auto-gradation failures and stuff, I checked that ITB is slightly slipping but had no idea why. Thx to one of posters here (teckat) in some other thread who wrote that ITB cleaning blade might be a problem if ITB is slipping, I removed that blade and tried to print without it and... colors at the end were finally aligned as it should be. Yeah!
I cleaned out (that end-plastic) cleaning blade with alcohol but now problem became bigger. Now, ITB is slipping even more than before, sometimes even stops for a moment.
How to solve this problem? Should ITB assy inside cleaning do a trick or there is some other ways/adjustments to do in ITB cleaning block?
Ps: Just asking this because I already took ITB assy out and inspected it, grip doesn't look that bad. Just thinking that higher tension inside assy could damage plastic gears and I really like that machine.
Thx,
Joseph
