    Canon IR4045 - no netork

Checked the network card with 127.0.0.1 and it says it is OK. But when I try and do a DHCP or setup the copier manually it does not seem to work. DHCP does not find anything and setting it up manually I can not get it to ping the Gateway. Do I do a MMI clear or get a new Controller Board?

MMI first, I have had so many quirky issues with devices, usually network related that are solved via MMI. I have only had one network card fail, and that doesn't count in my book as the customer spun the device around with the NW cable fastened to the wall. MMI first, print the settings pages first.

Just tried clearing the MMI. Did not fix the problem. Guess I need a controller?

Before someone asks, of course tried the simple stuff first:
      New network cable
      Different network outlet
Installed cable in a know working outlet

Are you trying to ping the assign ip address to your machine thru connected to a switch? if you have a laptop try to ping directly to your pc or laptop by assigning manually to your laptop go to TCP/ipv4 set manually... then try to ping...if doesnt work you must be focus to your machine network control board..
