Does anyone have any experience or documentation on this serial interface?
So far we can get it communicating with a coin box but the display on the copier does not indicate anything like "insert coins" at idle mode, however it will not copy unless coins are doposited.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What model Printer In Service Mode make the following changes: Equitrac installation Level 2 > Copier>Option>ACC> CC-SPSW to "1" For a Coin Box installation Level 2 > Copier>Option>ACC> CC-SPSW to "1" Level 1 > Copier>Option>ACC> Coin to "1" (The LCD will now indicate Please Insert Coins) Turn OFF & ON machine.

or

Under Accessories in Service Mode, change the following: - COIN = "0" to "1" [if set to 1, press #1 and press ok anyway] - CC-SPSW = "1" [if set to 1, press #1 and press ok anyway] Turn OFF & ON machine. Upon being power cycled, the machine should display "Insert Coin".

or Advanced Models

Coin box will not allow the copier to process print jobs, unless coins are inserted.



Make sure the following Service Mod is set to allow print jobs without coins:
COPIER>OPTION>USER>CONTROL> to 0. This is the charge setting for PDL control. 1= charge, 0= no charge.

Along with the following settings:
LEVEL 2>COPIER>OPTION>ACC>CC-SPSW> to 1
LEVEL 1>COPIER>OPTION>ACC>COIN> to 1

Yes forgot the model number in post.... 5250.

Passing this info to my tech in the field.
