[Error Code] Canon IPF8400 - E196-404E

Hi all,

Got a problem with a (well two actually) iPF8400. It came up with message to close top cover, even though it was closed. That seems to have cleared however, E196-404E now shows.

I've checked the code in the Manual and it says to follow the "PCB Replacement Mode" however the error will not allow me to get into service mode. I can get the "S" to display in the upper right corner of the display, however i just get the status menu and no other options. Am I do something wrong?

I have replaced the main board with a known good one, and now, that board also displays the same error.

Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The issue is I can't seem to get to the PCB replacement mode

Hi, You need change motherboard and 2 print heads
