We installed a new IRAC 5535 with a Y1 finisher, during a long run , say 100 sets the ops panel shows an add staples prompt, the stapler is still full of staples. By opening the finisher door the prompt resets and returns to print job and staples. We have swapped the staple cartridge and staples still have problem. No codes or alarms, this new style cartridge has no pressure spring on top of staples. Just wondering if I have missed a bulletin or someones on the job training. All help is appreciated

A Quirky Finisher controller PCB
The staple sensor (PI52) is used to detect presence/absence of a staple cartridge in the machine and presence/ absence of staples in the cartridge.
The staple edging sensor (PI51) is used to determine whether staples are pushed up to the top of the staple cartridge.
The finisher controller circuit does not drive the staple motor (M41) unless the staple safety switch (MS104) is ON.
This assures safety in case where you happen to put your finger in the stapler.
