IRA8285 "add toner" message

Canon toner installed.The toner bottle doesn't spin but I can hear the motor turn. I couldn't find a part number for the whole hopper assm in the parts book. Is there a gear or cam that breaks on this model?

edit: I think I found the part number of the lower part of the hopper I need. It's item #3 on diagram 620: FM4-9813. It's weird that they don't sell the whole hopper as 1 piece.

Hi Did you try with another bottle? Inspect toner cap.

Yes, the first thing I did was swap toner bottles and make sure it was Canon toner.

Change the hopper...I've changed many...you have to transfer the tray. Its a controlled part...otherwise 6000 bottles would fit in 8000s,etc

New hopper did take care of it. Not difficult to install either..... unlike the c7000/c9000 hoppers!
