You don't need to reset the counter. It will just make things more difficult when things break down as the tech servicing the machine won't know how old the consumable components are.

we are importing the copier and supplying those machine to (customer)-end user, so it is necessary to reset to counter & (upgrading system)... previously, we bought the machine from local supplier and they had reset the counter itself....

Only way that it can be done is via canon. You have to be authorised when doing a refurb to there standard and then they give you the software to do it.
Oh...... I can't copy at the moment then ? !!!!!!

Yeah...I don't mind people clearing parts counts...durables and procedural...but clearing the meters...that's just wrong..like winding back the speedo's on used cars.

jacking with the meters is a good way to nuke the machine, once it counts back up to its original count it will shut down permanatly unless you call canon with a good reason for what you have done.

If you were a 'real' tech, you would already know what other forums there are.
