Hi all,
Am brand new to the site so go easy on me please!
I'm currently working for a Canon dealership in Wellington NZ.
I have a customer with an iR ADVC5035 and randomly most mornings they are getting an error E732-0001. It happens when the first print job of the day is sent, and once the machine is restarted it doesn't occur again until the next morning or sometimes a couple of days later. On one occasion there was an E733-0001.
I have been through the service manual and have utilised all other avenues available from Canon and all I know is that the 732 code is a communications error between the reader controller PCB and main controller 2 PCB.
In my experience with this model, I've never known a faulty main controller to cause anything but the dreaded black screen of death so am not entirely convinced that is the issue. Today I replaced the reader controller PCB but obviously won't know if that's worked until the next couple of mornings present no errors.
This machine has had no issues at all in the last few months and there are no other alarms/jams/errors in the history.
Any experts out there experienced this before?
Cheers
