You can activate it so it appears when you press the system monitor key in the bottom right corner.

Another setting that comes in handy is being able to rotate the turret to the colour that you want to check/change.
In service mode (Level 2) [COPIER> Option> BODY> T-CRG-SW], set it to "1" and turn the power OFF/ON. A button "Specified Toner Replacement" appears under user mode [Adjustment/Cleaning].

              3100 toner coverage

              Hello all,

The colours are rated at 8,500 prints at 5% coverage per A4 print.
The Black Toner is rated at 23,000 prints at 5% coverage per A4 print.
The drum is rated at a life of 70,000 prints, however this is per colour per print on A4.

Canon determine 5% coverage as a standard single sided A4 letter covering 3/4's of the page!!!

So if you do 1 colour print you are using the drum 4 times (CMYK) so as you can work out the life of these things isn't great and once you start using A3 it gets worse.

Also please remember if you or your customer is doing anything more than 1 in 8 pages A4 in colour you will have problems all the time. So if you have to use these machines make sure they use black only where possible.

I would mount that like a trophy fish and put it on the wall, we're lucky if we get 70% out of these b****y machines.
