Canon iR C3480 not sending emails

Have a Canon iR C3480 that all of a sudden will not send out emails. Have not seen anything has changed network wise. They are using Charter internet, sending thru port 465, using att yahoo email.
All the firmware is up to date, cleared out all the old setting and reset it back up. Still not sending. Most all of the errors in the log have to do with SMTP (752). Checked all the setting and they seem to be OK. Even have a Google account I use for testing and it does not work.

They can still print to the copier, just not able to send emails.

Charter is notorious for setting a router with new addressing... do an Ipconfig/all from your computer and see what the setting on the router is ( is it a westhall router?) they can sit in the office and change ip's around when they want to ... Time Warner is known for this also.

      Did you perform CLEAR/MMI?

Service Mode-COPIER-FUNCTION-CLEAR-MMI. Before back-up all IP configuration.

Have you tried changing to a gmail account on port 587? or you could use something like smtp2go on port 2525 with no encryption if you want to keep same sending address

I agree it is possible to set a gmail account with the wrong port a couple years ago. The solution was to change port to 587
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.

I have a email account on other copiers that are using port 465 and they all are working.

Customer informed me that their iR 3245 does not send emails either. This all happened about the same time. I told them that it has to be Charter of their router. They are looking for their router user name and password so I can look at that first.

Checked the router, everything seem looks OK with it. I input a Netcom email address that uses port 587 and it works fine. All their computers use port 465 to send emails with no problems. Why is it just affecting the copiers?

using SMB? there has been an industry wide issue with WIN10 and scan to email using SMB1

No SMB is not turned on. They just all of a sudden quit sending emails thru port 465.

I suspect it is down to security/encryption methods used by copier, not deemed to be as safe/secure as from pc's, not much you can do apart from use port 587
