Has anyone else had trouble with the ADV 4200 series? we seem to be getting quite a few E280-0003 codes. Have been replacing the CIS Unit and the Core Holder, just wondering if there is a preventative measure for this.

There is a mod for this issue, a sheet gets placed under the ribbon cable. Friction on the cable can cause it to buckle, which in turn causes these errors.
Part number for the sheet is FL0-3218-010. The sheet gets placed under where the ribbon cable moves with the scanner. After removing the copyboard glass, move the scanner over to the right and peel the adhesive cover off the sheet and then apply the sheet to the back left of the scanner, right where the ribbon cable would be, then move the carriage back.
