Canon IRA4035 Error E025-001

Have this machine with this error.
Toner feed motor M17 over current sensing.
I have gone into service mode and done a motor check and the error comes up every time and it sounds and looks like the toner bottle is struggling..
If the toner bottle is removed, the motor performs great and no error.
I have changed the hopper unit with a used hopper unit but the problem is still the same.
Katun toner is being used.
Have struck up the relating connectors. I have ordered up a new hopper assembly and wondered if anyone else has had this problem.
Was wondering if it is the Katun bottle causing the problem.
Any feedback would be appreciated

I would say it is a possibility. Sometimes the manufacture puts a patent on bottle. If you had a canon bottle you could compare. The company who bought us uses generic toner in the 32XX series. One customer who put it in first time got a code and never had that code in over 5 years. So far I have not seen them use generic toner in the advance series but it has only been a few months. I think that model did have an issue with the hopper. The new hopper will have the new gear assembly they have. I had a problem with one not recognizing toner, ordered hopper just in case and they have not called for same issue in over 6 months.

Ok Dan,

Thanks for your input.
Was going back with the new hopper and original toner.
Trouble is that I sold them the Katun toner. I might have to swap them back to original toner.
Ill see what happens with the new hopper.
