    Banding on colour Canon c7055

    Hi.

The printer is now connected ok to the network and the general print quality is ok except for a strip through the middle of some prints depending on the colours.

Is this a drum or transfer belt? I have attached a photo of what I am seeing. I am thinking it's the yellow drum am I correct?

Thanks again for all your help

    Chris

      Hi.

I have done nothing but an auto gradation on it. I'm an end user but I do have a good tech I can call upon if needed. However the value of the machine is such that I would rather rule out the simple stuff first (I realise that the drum is expensive though).

Can you give me any ideas what I need to clean or is it worth just getting it serviced top to bottom and seeing where it goes from there.

sorry I saw you listed as a technician ... I thought you were... please get a professional in to look at it before replacing parts.

yes it is indeed. I just had my engineer out this morning who did indeed confirm that the dev unit is finished and possibly the charge wire? charge grid? is also finished.

I am just waiting on a price for the drum and dev unit now.

            Cheers
