    [Error Code] E02813 - W6400

    Hi Guys,

I have to look at a LFP with the following error code E02813 which looking in the manual relates to the Head Management sensor, this is a non contract machine, so customer is paying for parts n labour. I was looking at some previous posts, possible print head issue and that one post says if changing the print head a FW upgrade must be done. Looking on SIMS there only seems to one firmware version, so would the FW be just left alone and does the FW get upgraded using an FUT as in the IPF range? Not worked on this model before and have limited experience on LFPs. Any help would be appreciated.

    regards

    1. L Printer Tool it needs to be downloaded
    2. Firmware used to flash the printer also needs to be downloaded

After the L Printer Tool is downloaded and unzipped open up the folder where the file was unzipped to and double click the setup.exe file.
    follow prompts > until >
Windows Firewall setting appears. Select the (Deactivate the block) check button and then select [Next].
Select the [Finish] button to complete the installation.
    ================================================== ================================================== ======

After installing the software reboot the computer.

Now start up the L Printer Tool software. Next we need to connect to the printer. First select how the laptop or PC is connected to the printer, USB = Local and Network = cross over or TCP/IP connection. The USB connection is simpler to use because there is no TCP/IP configuration to set up.

To do this, from the main menu of the L Printer Tool select [View] and then select [Specify Search Range].The Specify Search Range screen below will appear. Select Local for USB or Network and enter the TCP/IP information on the laptop or PC being used, and then press the [OK] button.

After selecting the type of connection press the [Refresh] button in the screen below.
This will start the connection process and the L Printer Tool will search for connected printers.

In the image below two printers were found. We will configure the L Printer Tool to flash the iPF755.

Next u need to point the L Printer Tool to the location of the firmware.
On the L Printer Tool main screen select the [Specify Firmware] button. In the Specify Firmware dialog box select the browse button at the far right end of the Specify Firmware Folder box, it has 3 dots on the button. [...].
Now browse to the folder where the FUT tool was downloaded and unzipped.
In the image below the path to the Data folder is shown. Select the Data folder and press the [OK] button. This will populate the Specify Firmware Folder box with the path to the Data folder which contains the [.jdl] file that is needed to flash.

Next select the Specify Firmware File option so the dot appears highlighted next to it. Now browse to the same folder and open the data folder and select the [.jdl] file so it is listed in the Specify Firmware File dialog box.

If the selection process has been completed correctly the file name will appear to the left of the Specify Firmware button. In this example it is the iPF750iPF755V0115.jdl. From this screen select the printer to flash and then select the [Transfer Firmware] button. Select the [OK] button from the box that appears to start the firmware transfer.

The printer will reboot after the firmware has been transfered.
