Canon Imagerunner Advance 4245 with background and lines after drum change

I just sold two of these to one of my better customers.
The drum unit looked worn so I bought an aftermarket kit from Precision roller
and installed it.
3 days later it comes up with thin lines from front to back of the machine and
background.
Lowering the AE or the density adjustment does not help enough. I adjusted
the dev offset to -20 and the background went away but I can still see light thin
lines in half tones of pictures.

Is this just because of the aftermarket drum? A friend of mine here is having the
same problem too.

I will try to post some samples later today.

It was the drum kit I got from Precision Roller. Precision roller is taking care of the problem
with their supplier.
