I was trying to remove the drum unit on an IR1435 and the rear side doesn't want to release. what has to be done to remove this drum unit??

The left side door has two stop positions. To release the drum the door needs to go to the furthest opening.
When the left door is opened to the drum release position there is linkage that will move the drum coupling away from the Drum allowing you to remove the drum easily from the machine.
If this linkage is damaged then the drum will not be released. Check the drum release linkage.

there is mod and a bulletin for this issue the part # is FE3-8243-010 its a link arm that can break have a couple parts in stock but haven't needed yetComment
