[Misc] C5051 not printing cyan and jamming from tray 1

    Hello all,

I've got an issue with our Canon C5051 that I'm hoping someone can help steer me in the right direction on.

A little background, a few weeks ago, it started heavily coating color copies/prints with cyan, and to a lesser extent, yellow. To the point where it literally filled an empty waste toner container to needing replacement in about 4 days. We don't do any heavy printing here at all, least of all color. It ran itself out of cyan and we turned off color copies for the time being while we waited for a replacement Canon cyan cartridge to arrive from Precision. I also ordered a transfer cleaning assembly as ours was at 290% or some nonsense.

I installed the new cyan toner. However, when I was installing the cleaning assembly, I noticed small chunks of curly black plastic stuck under the old blade and falling out of the assembly when I removed it. I tipped the belt assembly around and knocked a few more loose, then installed the new cleaning assembly and put back into the copier. I blew as much of the excess toner out as I could, as I don't have a toner vac, then sealed her back up.

    So now the issues are:
    1. I ran the machine and get no cyan on the copies at all. I ran a pg10 and get the attached result. You may see some of the black chunks that were remaining on the belt on the lower left, but they went away after a few runs. The yellow streaks lead me to believe we might be needing new drums again because I think we have about 2 years into our old ones.
    2. The other issue is that now the copier doesn't like to feed from tray 1. It'll start to pickup, but then it'll say there's a jam, even though the paper hasn't even been picked up from the tray. There will be roller marks on the paper, but that's it. Could the roller just be dirty with the excess toner that got blown around inside the machine?

Unfortunately, people in the office here tend to be...violent with our equipment. I'm wondering if someone shoved the cyan toner in too hard last time and broke something in there?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
