Hytec USED to do Wide Format boards, but apparently they must have recently stopped. I searched their catalog and found ZERO boards for wide-format.

If you're unable to order directly from Canon, I was able to Find a few online. However, if you're not a tech, I strongly recommend you pay the extra to have one install it for you. There's a specific procedure for replacing the Main Controller, and it might even require the firmware to be updated at installation.

      Hey Guitar,
Do you know if the firmware is saved on that board? I know I have the most up to date firmware right now but I am wondering if I change that board will I have to update the firmware or will it still be in the machine?
      Thanks,
      David

The firmware is saved on the mainboard.

When you get a new mainboard from Canon - it is to the latest version

You should replace mainboard and both printheads.

If you put a new mainboard and old printhead - there is risk that old (burnt printhead) might burn the new main board.

            Hey V-P,
Thanks for the help. I put two brand new ph's in since the codes said the right ph was bad which I don't think it was and the nozzle check test print wouldn't print the yellow box so I thought changing both would take care of it. After I changed the ph's is when I then did another nozzle check and that's when I saw Photo Cyan not printing and that is how I got here. So with all that being said I hope the two new ph's are still ok. From what teckat posted below it looks like if I do what is listed in the link it will keep all the info that the machine has. I found a new board on Ebay for 769.00 which is the cheapest I can find. If you know anywhere else to look that would be great.
            Thanks,
            David
