the machine displays 020-081. don't know where to start from. can't seem to find anything on it, nor a service manual.

It is usually the patch sensor is dirty, very common issue on this range, if you remove the black toner cartridge, you can get access to clean it in the machine, reach in open shutter and wipe the sensor.
