    Negative copies and prints

    I have a problem with a canon ir 7086 in which prints and copies are coming negative(back ground is black and the letters and images are white) i tried replacing DC controller LASER UNIT but no result It was a blind attempt to solve the problem therewasn't
    much time to spent. Before the next attempt can anybody suggest some solutions on this.

    What kind of Toner did you used ?
    Make sure you are using the Toner for IR7085/95/105.

      You have a short or arcing, I have seen staples cause this on the dev roller. Remove the dev and process unit and check all the contacts. Something is causing arcing, that will cause the exact copy quality you are getting.

        It's been years, but I've seen competitive toner be of opposite polarity, causing negatives.
