[Misc] How to update ir1730i/40/50i firmware

Good day canon tech. I m sharp tech. Can some one teach me how to update firmware on this models. I just got the latest firmware in zip file. But i dont know how to flash on ir1730i.

You need canon's service support tool, usb cable, and enter download mode on the copier via service mode.

just plug in the usb cable .. go to service mode and scroll to download .. this will put the machine into download mode. after that just run the .exe files in the different folders to update. you probably have to restart after each folder update and will have to go back to download mode again
