    Canon IamgeRunner Advance C5550i no connectivty

    I have a Canon iR Adv C5550i that is not showing up on the network. Cant seem to find the issue. I replaced a C5045 that worked great at the same spot. at first installation it said no network connection and no TC/IP. so i put a static IP on machine and it still said no network connection, after 15 min or so the "no network connection" went away but still could not ping it.
    Not sure what setting could be off, DHCP did not pick up an IP address, but it did get the domain name on its own.
    Any help would be appreciated

    I had a new install on the original 5000 series that acted strange on the cutomers network when first installed. A MMI clear and reboot solved it, may or may not help.

      Try Performing the MMI clear 2 times>back to back may resolve
      the problem.
      As posted by roho.

      Probably this does not apply in your case;

      Are the TCP/IP Settings Option Grayed out ?

      Turning on 'Confirm Network Connection Setting Changes' under Settings / Registration > Preferences > Network, will enable the TCP/IP Settings option to be selected. It will no longer be grayed out, after making the change.

        Can you connect your laptop, and does your laptop say the cable is (not) connected ?
        If you get "Check network connection" or simular on the screen of the copier it's usually not plugged in or not seeing it's plugged in, so check from the other side ie. your laptop...
        Then go from there.. Bad network connections gives erratic results...

        first check physical connection is ok, then go check the settings..
