This code indicates an error of the black developing assembly toner supply. The manual suggests checking the connection of the toner motor and the dc controller, replacing the dc controller and replacing the toner motor. The hopper assembly was also replaced with no change.

Check for loose or pinched wires on the (Kit) connector board at J551 and J552.

Blocked Toner Pipe (High Humidity / High Temperature Environment)
Loose/ Faulty Wiring
Faulty/ Dirty Toner Feed Level Sensor
Faulty Toner Supply Motor
Defective Connecting PCB Unit
Defective DC Controller PCB Assembly

Action
Check for a broken or jammed toner supply auger on the Drum Assembly.
Check the toner holes on the Drum and Hopper Assembly. Use a vacuum to clear any blockage found.




Also check that the sensor lever is not jammed

Check for loose or pinched wires on the Connecting PCB Unit at J551 and J552.

If the Toner feed motors (M8 through M11) can be activated in service mode under PART-CHK, suspect a fault at Toner feed level sensor. First clean the sensor, if found to be faulty replace it with a new one:
PS3 through PS5: Toner feed level sensor (WG8-5772-000)
PS6: Toner feed level sensor for black (FK2-0149-000)

Replace the Toner Supply Motor and check the connectors at the DC Controller PCB. Use the following chart as a reference:

The error code occurs because of a lack of toner in the toner buffer assembly.
The toner sensor (TS1, 2, 3, 4) is piezoelectric sensor that detects the amount of toner in the toner buffer assembly. If the face plate of this sensor is soiled it can send a false message that there is toner present in the toner buffer when it is empty.


In some cases cleaning the face plate of the toner sensor (FH7-7422-000) resolved the problem and the error code was cleared.

Have run into that also, customer installing cheap/compatible toner, remove cartridge and install a OEM, might solve your problem, also clean out toner cavity, blow out sensors under toner housing.

Measures against E025 error due to toner leak


The toner leaking from the toner cartridge flows onto the inside toner sensor (PS3/PS4/PS5/PS6), causing erroneousdetection and E025 error (Error in the toner motor).
