    How's scan from glass?

    Check in service mode:

COPIER > FUNCTION > CCD > CCD-ADJ and press [OK]."OK!" will be displayed on the screen when auto adjustment is completed.

    When "NG" is displayed,

    Replace:

    FM4-0589-000 CCD CABLE UNIT
    FM4-0588-000 CARRIAGE UNIT
    Practice makes perfect
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
A picture is worth a thousand words
If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself

Did u clean the Slit Glass ?
Paper dust build up on glass will cause a line or lines.

After cleaning the slit glass, install two-sided tape (purchased locally) on the DADF-U1 Feed Guide FL2-9935-000.
The tape will act as a dust collector tape and prevent the slit glass from being contaminated too quickly.

Might be a color scanner? You may need to replace the scanner unit if it is still there after cleaning the scan glass and scanner. I have had to replace several of those. The line was smaller, maybe a quarter of an inch.

If I took so much time for your problem, I expect a more complete answer.

                  How's scan from glass?
                  Adjustment is NG or OK?

It's a color scanner. The line is coming from the slit glass. If you scan or copy from adf do you get the line? if you run an internal print do you get the line. If your answers are yes and no, its on the glass
