That could be a lot of things. I would try first reseating the memory and all chips on the controllers, clean the contacts on the chips. Could be a controller or hard drive or chips on them. I would suspect the memory first. Glad I don't have that service call .

When troubleshooting a machine that is rebooting, first confirm the power from the outlet is correct. 120 volts AC between hot and neutral. 1 volt AC or less between neutral and ground.

Disconnect as many accessories from the machine as possible such as finishers, paper deck, cassette feeding units and fax options.
It has been found that fax options have been the cause of rebooting and replacement of the
***Fax Board PCB (FM4-0785-000) and / or the Cable (FK2-8424-000) have resolved rebooting issues.
*** ( Disconnect / Unplug Fax to Check )---Fax pcb causes rebooting issues on this series.

The rebooting issue may be caused by a connector or dimm loose on the Main Controller 1 or 2. The contacts on the dimms can be cleaned with an eraser prior to reseating. When reseating the pcbs and connectors pay attention to make sure there are no bent pins on the connectors.

Reconnect the accessorries and options to the machine and flash the machine and accessories to the latest system software; checking / reseating connectors and dimms should be done before flashing machine

Check error history for possible clues to rebooting issue. E602 error codes have led to the replacement of the Hard Disk Drive and E674 have led to fax option replacement as mentioned above.

When all the above suggestions have been followed the replacement of parts may become the next option.

Also confirm that under Setting Registration>Preference>Network>TCP/IP>Multicast Discovery is OFF.

I had this on the same model, worked fine for a year then started rebooting, sometimes would last a day before rebooting , next could be a few secs. Tried everything, updated firmware, new HDD , checked all connections , turned out to be the Main controller 1, but didnt pick it up on the diagnostics. hope that helps
