Scan to mail - problems sending externally

Hi,

I hope someone can point me in the right direction for this as i have no idea what is happening here.

I have a number of copier's in one company. The problem they have is that when they scan to mail and try to send it externally.

If they enter in an external address that is competely new it works fine. But if the external address is added as a contact in their outlook it sends the e-mail to them instead of the external address.

Scan to mail

I scan a document and select scan to mail on a computer next to the copier which is running sharescan.

When it asks for the e-mail address to send it to if i type an internal address it works fine. If i type in a external address i.e. external@hotmail.com it works fine. The e-mail is sent with the scan attached.

However if in my outlook i add external@hotmail.com to my list of contacts and then try and scan to mail and type in that address it sends the e-mail to me instead of external@hotmail.com.

Can u also provide me with the software wich u are using for scanning might i can help u or provide u with u a better software

We are using the eCopy Sharescan OP software for scanning.
