    Canon IR5570

We have a Canon IR5570 at our clients place. And this printer is used to print from mainframe. When we print from mainframe, this printer prints well only if the print given is a single page print...if it is a print that needs to be printed on both sides of a paper, the printer prints nothing....

I have tried this duplex printing on a differant Canon printer IR5055 and also on a HP printer HP Laserjet 8100DN. They printed good on both sides of the paper...

Can some one suggest why IR5570 is not printing the duplex print requests?

    Thank you.

do you have the correct driver installed?
what application are you trying to print from?

It definetely sounds like a driver issue as the print driver would allow for the special features of the copier. Best thing to try is to connect to the copier with a cross over cable and see when you print from a laptop if everything prints properly. If you have access to the server with the print driver installed, check the properties and in device settings make sure it shows the copier in the graphic.

        Hello,

We have had this sort of problem with a number of machines and found them all to be using the PCL6 driver.

We uninstalled this and used the PCL5e driver instead and it worked fine.

We are also having a number of probs with Vista and various older machines and their USB links. I will post back when we have these sorted as well.
