Cloned HDs never work on canon machines cause of the difference in ift file numbers.Get an HD recommended by canon. -
Re: Canon IR 3235 display freezing, cloning HD
Sounds like an issue I had a while back.. turned out to be the network port had "Power Over Ethernet" (P.O.E.) applied to it. Canon Network controllers don't like P.O.E....and in fact I've seen it fry Control Panel boards.
See if the customer's IT guy can remove the P.O.E. from that port, or you'll have to make a customer Ethernet cable for the copier. You'll lose "Gigabit" ethernet capability, but does a copier/printer really NEED Gig speed?Comment

Re: Canon IR 3235 display freezing, cloning HD
There has been new firmware released with this issue being addressed. It was version 49 I think. Experienced it , updated machine and the problem has been gone for over a month now.
I agree, this isnt 2006 anymore. Need to give up on cloning hdd.I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.Comment
