Customer is running letter in tray 1, and ledger in tray 2 and letter r in the bypass. The call was for jamming from tray 1 I replaced the feed tires and still had a jam every time. I tried running several copies on the ledger size and they ran fine. so I put the letter paper in tray two (and yes I changed the paper size) . The bypass works fine. but the letter size jammed every copy. put ledger back in and IT ran fine. the paper passes the registration rollers and stops before reaching the fuser. I am trying to figure out what component could be causing this. I even opened a different ream of paper on the outside chance that was the problem but same problem. This is a real head scratchier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On the vertical feed, make sure the bearing in upper left (operator side ) has not popped out from shaft.
This bearing is on the end of the 2nd Vertical Path Roller
Reposition bearing back in frame. If there is excessive end play insert shim washer between the bearing and (E-clip).

That's an older model. What color are the vertical rollers? There was a door, guide and vertical roller update for that problem. If you apply pressure to the side doors, you may find it feeds letter. Vertical Roller is FB6-4852-000Comment
