    canon ir adv c 7055

    hi ...
    I have canon ir adv c 7055 .after the job finished it show error E0008-001 and need to clear error and fx history from function clear.. when machine is restarted H can print
    my jobs but at the end its show this error again.

    From the service mode:

    Pressure belt unit life detection error
    Practice makes perfect
    If it ain't broke, don't fix it
    A picture is worth a thousand words
    If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself

      thanks for reply.
      this value is smaller than 80 but pressure belt is clear and soft....do you know another way to this life detection error?

        You can clear belt counter in DRBL-1 (not recommended)
        Practice makes perfect
        If it ain't broke, don't fix it

            yeah REPLACE THE BELT!

            it doesn't matter about the look of the belt.

              I replace both belt units for this error. You can try the bottom one but most likely it will come back on you. They only last 6 months to if you are extremely lucky two years. They are really expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I try and grease the gears but they still rust and the rust goes into the bearings. I have had a lot of these machines and then they resell them when they get traded in so I have some that are fairly old.

                ok he just told you " NOT RECOMMENDED " to clear the belt counter.... did you?

                replace both belts at once and make sure you clean and lube bearings

                  I had that problem and the issue was that the melter was too hard in spite of having erased the counter, the unit's casings were hard, they did not rotate well, so I cleaned and lubricated them and it worked fine.
