irc 5180 & 3200 are they the same box..?

i read somewhere that the 2 machines are very simular..
    except for speed odviously...

is there a major difference in the consumable yields...
    ie - fuser, transport belt..toner, drums....etc..

i already have 1 Irc3200 out in the field and its doing great..
    nice unit...

what about the big brother 5180....

    your thoughts...

    thanks ,

The fuser for the 5180 series utilizes a twin belt system and like Kwazi stated there HAVE been issues with the unit falling over well before it's rated life due to the belts shredding...or the belt displacement sensors breaking.
      Copy quality is brilliant....600x600dpi scanning.
I'm Canon trained on them and I love them almost as much as the 3200's.
Oh...the drum units ALWAYS dump toner at/around 200% of their rated life.
Not as long wearing as the iRC3200 drums but twice the drum life is not to be sneezed at I guess.
