    Canon ir-3300n Can't Copy

We have a Canon ir-3000n that is giving us the error message "Set for 0 pages or less". The only option available is to select OK but it still will not allow copies to be made. We have tried selecting a larger # of copies, using the glass, the feeder but nothing produces any output. The display just returns to the original error message.

If anyone has any thoughts or has run into this before their help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Have you tried to reboot the machine yet.

Try clearing the MMI and DC Con in copier>function>clear.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.

        Can't Copy

Are asking if the machine has been powered off & on or has a hard drive check been performed?

Blitz is asking if you have restarted the machine (turned it off and on) trying the scan disk is not a bad idea. I am saying if those don't work go thru and clear the MMI and DC con as I explained. sometimes the machine will lock onto a particular problem and not let it go until you clear it. good luck, let us know.

Yes we have powered it off & on several times.

Could you shed some light on how to clear the MMI and DC con? Not sure where to start.

            Thanks

My appologies, I guess I didn't understand that you don't know how to get into service mode. I guess to start with are you a canon tech or a customer? depending on your answer I can tailor my response. If you understand what blitz explained you should be all set.

The device is connected to a LAN, will clearing these delete my network settings?

                    IR 3300

If you print out a user data list, a fax list and a p-print then you should be covered. and if you use RUI you can import and export the address book and other info.

I will try your suggestions. Thanks for the info, I am an IT tech and normally the multi-function devices are not my area of expertise. We rely on on an outside vendor to resolve these issues.

                      Thanks again.
