Noise is coming from the roller set after the feed rollers in the upper tray. I shot some alcohol around the shaft/roller bushings, the noise went away. After added some oil and at the end of the day the customer called back. I was wondering if those sections are easy to remove? Does anyone have any objection to using a spray lubricant instead of removing the assemblies?

Re: squeak Imagerunner advanced 400If
what OIL did you spray in there?
did you know that the brass bushings in the Canon - HP - Ricoh machines DRY OUT if WD40 is used on them?
YES! I do have an objection on half assing the job. PULL THE DAMN FEED ( OR ANY SECTION ) AND DO THE JOB PROPERLY!
Get the damn manual and do the job the correct way.. the way you are doing it will bite your ass in the long run.Comment

Re: squeak Imagerunner advanced 400If
Drums are notorious for squeaking. Oil them all the time....ends of primary(small drop on each end), pull out the drum ground clip on the end a little bit and put a dab of conductive grease, also a drop of oil on drum flanges ends(white plastic). Sometimes the delivery bushings in the fuser squeak(cheap, not Oilite). Drop of oil...Comment

No, I never used any spray lube. Unfortunately it's not the drum, I'll pull out that feed section and clean. ThanksComment

No oil needed just grease was used. I pulled the feed section out and cleaned and used Grease and that fixed the problem. Thanks for all the suggestionsComment
