Unable to see IP4 IP6 settings in Administrative Setup Canon C5255 Color

Hello fellow techs, I'm primarily a Xerox dealer who occasionally deals with Canons. Sold a client a Canon IRAC5255 and when we go to the Network Setup mode, unable to see the IP4 IP6 settings. They're not even there grayed out. They're completely missing. I do have the service manual, but I'm having a hard time finding the part where I can go into service mode and turn it back on.

Of course, that means my "assumption" is that somehow it's actually turned off(disabled) through service mode.

I would be very appreciative if someone could help me get this "enabled" so I can get my client up and running on the network.

There's no error codes, and I'm positive that the missing options in the administrative mode means it was manually disabled in service mode.

I have the "Service Guide" and the "Service Manual"... I do not have a "Network Guide" or anything like that. Please let me know if the information I'm looking for is in one of those service references.

Thanks in advance for any help you may offer. Much appreciated!

      If a Fiery is connected,
      Check below

      For a Fiery connection
      Service Mode > Option > INT-FACE > IMG-CONT = 3 (or 4 if engine is B/W only)

If no Fiery- IMG-CONT needs to be at "0" for setting up IP addresses

No, there is no Fiery. It must be some other setting. Like security?? Where someone may have disabled the network connections all together.

Thanks for your answer though. I appreciate those who take the time to respond.

Check teckats suggestion on going into service mode copier>option>int-face>img-cont and see if it is set to anything other than 0 it is possible there was a fiery on the machine before you got it and no one changed that setting back

              Try this

Go to Preferences > Confirm Network connection Set changes and Turn On > TCP/IP settings > IPv4 Settings > IP Address Settings and re-enter information. Close the window and re-boot copier

              When selecting the
Settings / Registration button, all item listed are greyed out and cannot be selected.

Check to see the setting of
              <AFN-PSWD> in Service Mode.

This setting is located in Service Mode Level 2 > COPIER > OPTION > USER > AFN-PSWD

If AFN-PSWD setting is set to "1" LOG In will be required to display items in Settings / Registration.

The DEFAULT setting for AFN-PSWD is 0, password not required.

Thanks to all my fellow techs for helping me here! This community is invaluable because of your efforts! I'm always humbled by the knowledge depth in this group!

One last question, I cannot remember how to get into Service Mode Level 2. Can you help me with that please?

                Thanks!
