[Error Code] CAON IRADVC5250i Error E0029-003

    Dear All,
One of our Canon IRADVC5250i shows the error code E0029-003.Asper the service manual already try to replace the following parts.
    1.ITB Assembly
    2.Patch Sensor Unit.
    3.Registration Shutter Solenoid (SL1).

    Still same.Kindly advice
    Thanks in Advance

Check fuse FU2 on paper feed driver PCB.

      C5235 / 5240 / 5250 / 5255

      E0029 0003 was displayed on boot-up.
It was noticed that the patch read sensor value P-LED-DA was 0.
On a properly working machine this number is typically around 15-22.

It was found that the wires to the patch shutter solenoid were being smashed in the wire saddle connector directly below the solenoid.
Re-positioning the wires correctly resolved the error code and the P-LED-DA values returned to normal.

Canon Tech had already replaced the patch sensor and shutter, as well as the Feed Driver PCB for this C5235.

In this case, the C5235 DC Controller, (FM4-9390-000) was defective and was replaced to resolve the E029 error code.

      C5030 / C5035 / C5045 / C5051 / C5235 / C5235A / C5240 / C5240A / C5250 / C5255

Machine would display an E029-0003 error code at boot up.

      The error code description is:
The reflected value from ITB was lower than the lower
limit when adjusting the light intensity of patch LED.

Found that fuse FU2 was blown on the Paper Feed Driver PCB.
The Registration/Patch Sensor Assembly is powered from fuse FU2.
Replaced the Registration/Patch Sensor Assembly and the Paper Feed Driver PCB to resolve the error.

Registration/Patch Sensor Assembly iRAC5000 and iRAC5200 series both use part number: FM3-5944-000
      Paper Feed Driver PCB
      iRAC5000 part number: FM3-7932-000
      iRAC5200 part number: FM4-9391-000

      C5235 / C5240 / C5245 / C5255

Check the Registration Patch Sensor Shutter/Linkage.

In this case, when booting up the machine, the linkage never moved.
The linkage/shutter was stuck and manually activating it resolved the issue.

      C5235 / C5240 / C5250 / C5255

E029-0003 Error Code is occurring along with a 'check printer' message.
Error code E029-0003 refers to an ITB light intensity error.

In this case, replacing the Feed Driver PCB along with re-seating connectors on the DC Controller and lasers resolved the error code and message.

The part number for the Feed Driver PCB is FM4-9391-000.

        Dear All,
        Thanks for your support.

We changed the feed driver PCB & remove & reinserted all the connectores in DC controller & also reset laser assembly.

        Still it shows E00112-001/E0029-003 intermittendly.

As said by teckat its occuring along with a 'check printer' message.

        Kindly advice.

          E112-0001 Error code

The E112 error code is defined as error in the dust proof shutter.
When machine is powered on, the error code will be displayed first followed by the Multi-purpose tray size screen, even when no paper is in the bypass tray.

With the bypass tray guides set to letter and letter size paper selected the following message is displayed.
"The specified size does not conform to the position of the slider guides. Adjust the slider guides and specify the the size again".

Replacing the shutter home position sensor PS29 and the manual feed paper sensor PS47, did not change the symptom.
When checking COPIER> FUNCTION> CST> A4 read 8 and does not change when the slider guide on the by pass tray is moved.
The Laser Shutter motor does work, but makes a thumping noise. When turning the shutter motor manually there are no binds.

The Multi-purpose size sensor (UN52), the multi purpose paper sensor (PS47), laser shutter motor (M28) and the laser shutter sensor (PS29) all go to the pick up feed driver PCB (UN2).
In this case, replacing the Pick up feed driver PCB FM37932-000 resolved all the issues.

          C5030 / 5035 / 5045 / 5051

          E112-0001

Checked voltage to Pickup Feed Driver PCB and found correct voltage at 12v line but 24v line was too high at 29 volts.

Next 24 power supply PCB was checked and it was also too high at 29 volts.

To resolve issue it was best to replace the following PCB's as a set.

          24 Volt power supply PCB ( UN8 ) FM3-7955-000

          Relay PCB ( UN5 ) FM3-7935

          Pickup Feed Driver PCB ( UN2 ) FM3-7932
