IRC 5185

Just wanted to know if you guys can help IRC 5185 with E584, machine first had E531 code changed out the finisher and now getting E584. I can run copies use hole punch and everything is fine as soon as customer prints the machine codes out. It don't happen with every print job though thanks for your help.

When looking at the error code on the screen..does it also state that the finisher can be used in limited function mode?
Some error codes need to be reset in service mode rather than just cycling the machine.
Enter service mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR...then cycle the machine.
Also...check that there is nothing interfering with the travel of the trays..i.e. reams of paper stacked near the finisher...a waste paper bin etc etc.
If the error code reappears...select OK when the limited function message appears.
The machine will boot normally and you can then turn the feature off in:ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS>COMMON SETTINGS...and from memory,it's on page 6 or 7....cycle the machine and you should be good to go.

I tried it and thus far everything is working fine thanks for your help I hope that realy solves the problem its been a few days and the code have not come back so will keep fingers crossed.
