    canon 7095

have a puzzler that maybe I'm just to frenzied to think straight on - OK, I'll be honest, I'm looking for an easy fix because I'm booked solid!
On wednesday I shut the 7095 down at the end of the day - returned Thursday morning and turned it on and it continued to cycle and be warming up - then continue to cycle - I was too busy with color work to address it but went to the book this morning - while I had the fuser apart - new themistors and sub thermistor and new lamps (just because I had them) still the same results - I now notice that the touch screen seems to be locked up - so I can't get into diagnostics - So an appeal - I am slammed today and a quick fix would make friday/saturday / and sunday much better in my simple minded world - PLEASE!

    Is Fuser Warming up ?

Machine is not coming to READY

The fuser temperature is not changing in service mode. SM>COPIER>DISPLAY>ANALOG>FIX C & E.
    No error code is displayed.

    Solution :

The machine is designed to cut power to the fuser when the doors are open and/or the transport and duplex drawers are pulled out. At times it has been noticed the copier will not come to ready and the fuser temperature is not warming up. No error code is displayed or messages to check/reset Unit 1 or 2.

    TROUBLESHOOTING:
Use the service mode input/output and confirm the doors are closed, transport handle is set and the drawers are pushed in.

Under SM>COPIER>IO>DCON>P005- Bit 8 - this bit changes state when (PS58) the upper right door is open and closed.

Under SM>COPIER>IO>DCON>P005- Bit 9 - this bit changes state when (PS48) the lower right door is open and closed.

Under SM>COPIER>IO>DCON>P005- Bit 10 - this bit changes state when (PS56) the manual feed door is open and closed.

Under SM>COPIER>IO>DCON>P005- Bit 11 - this bit changes state when (MSW7) the front door door is open and closed.

If no change of state is indicated replace faulty component. Cut wire ties if needed.

Under SM>COPIER>IO>DCON>P005- Bit 13 - this bit changes state when (duplex pcb) the duplex drawer is pushed in and out.

Under SM>COPIER>IO>DCON>P005- Bit 14 - this bit changes state when (PS28) the transport handle is released and locked in place.

If no change of state is indicated replace faulty component. Cut wire ties if needed. Confirm the drawer connectors are seating properly and free of foreign debris.
Bit 13 relates to the duplex DRAWER2
Bit 14 relates to the transport DRAWER1

In this case the SM>COPIER>IO>DCON>P005- Bit 13 was not changing state. The duplex connector has a foreign object and the duplex pcb had to be replaced.

    Reference Part Numbers:
    FK2-0149-000 = PS28, 48, 56, 58
    WC4-0153-000 = MSW7
    FG6-8585-000 = Duplex pcb.

for sure need more info. Maybe HDD or Memory with machine locking up and control panel freezing.
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.

But the screen would still respond if it was the fuser not heating, had the above issue before. Sounds like a system lockup.

Have seen low voltage issues effect and cause touch screen problems , including warming up in a few models.

Need more info. I've changed control panel PCBs and touchsheets on these and 105s for locking up. Usually touchsheets on these(IRs) and PCBs on Advanced X2Xx series(8295,etc)

if you can print to the machine then change the screen pcb, i've had the same problems with few machines and had to change the screen assembly (whole assembly cause i had few around from broken machines)

                  Re: canon 7095

Finally after a month+ I'm back - schedule + family issues put this on the back burner - I have some large jobs now coming up so I had my service manual out over the weekend - 2 years ago I had had the same problem - never coming up to ready and the touch screen locking up - at that time I ran out of Ideas and time - and simply unplugged the machine and moved over to a back up machine. It sat @ 2 months according to my notes when I had a free weekend to address it - plugging it back in surprised me for it ran great for 2+ years until it happened again. Ironically enough the same scenereo - I unwittingly unplugged it @2 weeks ago and then this morning plugged it in and its running fine.

So, obviously not a fix but . . . not a mechanical problem - probably not thermistors or fuser related - Somethings that "bleeds down" and resets itself after being unplugged from the wall for an extended period of time?

I'm ecstatic its running but now I know it will be back and without fail, it will pop up again at exactly the time I need it (hopefully 2 more years from now!)

                  any ideas would be great
                  ron

                    Hi teckat;
I have issue with ir7105 gives black copy while working and if paper jam happens tit start working normally after releasing jammed paper .I have replaced the main charging unit from working m/c but this fault appears three or four time a day. i suspect the H. V. T. PCB ASSEMBLY but it takes three to four days to have new one any idea ?
NOTE the M/C is working in perfect way between the faults
                    thanks in advance

                          Canon IR7105 light copy

More is explained in the service manual. Check your lamp and laser numbers. You can also check if you have one of the faulty lasers by serial number. There was a tech pub about that but the problem showed itself as light copy quality. Not black out.
